Andy Hancock

Managing Director

Andy founded VAAV in 2006. He has worked in the sponsorship and sports marketing industry for 20 years, including for IMG, the world’s leading sports marketing agency, where he was Senior International VP of the Benelux region until 2004.

Prior to VAAV, Andy audited and created pan-European sponsorship platforms for many companies including ABN AMRO, Canon Europe, ING/BBL, Siemens, KPN, Ernst & Young, TNT, Randstad, Ethias, SAP, Proximus, Mitsubishi and many more.

Andy has a wide operational experience and an in-depth understanding of the unique dynamics of sponsorship.Outside of a busy worklife, Andy dedicates his time to his wife and two daughters, as well as the occasional game of golf.

Miek Heetesonne

Activation Manager

Miek plans and produces some of our major sponsorship projects. She joined VAAV Communication in January 2010 and formerly worked as an account executive at event and festival organiser Variety-Jazztronaut Entertainment.

Miek has planned and produced marketing actions for the sponsors of festivals such as the Brussels Jazz Marathon, Euro Millions Groove City, and the VW Campus Tour. She has also organised corporate and public events for Mobistar, Nationale Loterij, Sopexa, and Cisco Systems. 

Married with two children, Miek loves her music and is a self-confessed concert addict.

Formerly Account Director for Cossette Communications in Canada and Sport Leader in Paris, Pascale has planned and serviced major contracts across a range of sponsorship disciplines for blue chip brands including General Motors, Loto Quebec, the Bank of Montreal, Carrefour, Credit Lyonnais and EDF GDF.

A strategist at heart, Pascale offers a pragmatic and practical approach to sponsorship. When she is not solving the world’s sponsorship problems, Pascale enjoys the company of her husband and daughter.
